Wide + night coverage

Use wide-angle or varifocal bullets on poles and building corners. For night, pair cameras with an IR illuminator (50m) so plates and faces stay readable in total dark — the camera's own IR rarely reaches across a lot.

Long runs to the booth

The booth or office may be 150–500m away. Past 100m, use a long-range PoE switch (CCTV mode to ~250m) or a wireless bridge to skip trenching entirely.

License-plate tip
